03 · The Lake

A day on Wylie, the way locals do it.

We grew up on this water. Here is how a rental day actually runs.

MORNING

Idle out of Belmont

Load up at the dock, get the five-minute walkthrough, and idle out past the no-wake buoys. The lake is glass before noon.

AFTERNOON

Coves, sandbars, and a swim

Drop anchor in a quiet cove, float on the island, throw the tube on for the kids. The Garmin shows you exactly what is under you.

GOLDEN HOUR

The sunset cruise home

The hour this lake is famous for. Slow ride back with the sun on the water. Boats are back at the dock by 7:45.

Dock and dine at McLean

Belmont's own waterfront table at McLean South Shore. Cruise over, tie up, and dinner is a dock walk away.

Times are one way at an easy pontoon cruise, about 8 mph. Ask us for the day's conditions and we will point you right.

Every boat carries a Garmin or Lowrance chartplotter, so you will never actually need this page on the water. It just helps you dream up the day.

05 · Why us

Rent from the owners, not a counter.

Two guys from Belmont who keep their own boats clean, fueled, and ready. That difference shows up in the reviews.

Owner-run, every trip

Drew and Sean hand over the boat themselves, walk you through it, and answer the phone all day. No counter line, no shuttle van.

Gas is on us

Every price includes fuel. Around here that is not the norm at the volume rental counters. What you book is what you pay.

Insured and verified

Every booking runs through Boatsetter: real rental insurance, verified renters, secure payment, and free cancellation up to 24 hours out.

06 · Safety

The pre-departure briefing.

Every rental starts with the same five-minute routine. Read it now and the dock walkthrough is a formality.

Five minutes in the app before you leave the dock. Nothing skips this.

  • Complete the Boatsetter trip check-in on your phone at the dock.

  • Walk the boat with us and photo-log any existing dings or damage before departure, so nothing lands on you later.

  • Log engine hours and fuel level at the start. We log them again at return, and gas is on us either way.

  • Sign to activate the rental insurance for your trip. Coverage starts at your signature, which is why the boat does not leave without it.

07 · FAQ

The stuff people actually ask.

Is gas included in the rental price?

Yes. Every rental includes fuel. The price you book is the price you pay on the water.

How do I book?

All bookings run through Boatsetter, which handles payment, renter verification, and rental insurance. Pick your boat, pick a date and duration, and book online in minutes.

Do I need boating experience?

The pontoon is a bareboat rental, so you operate it yourself. We walk you through everything before you leave the dock, and a captain is available on request for an additional fee.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your start time. Inside 24 hours, bookings are non-refundable.

Can I bring my dog?

Pets are considered case by case. Message us through Boatsetter before booking and we will work it out. A pet add-on fee applies.

What time do boats come back in?

All rentals are back at the dock by 7:45 PM. That deadline is set by our insurance and cannot be extended. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are reserved for 6 and 8 hour rentals.
